When I had my first son I ended my job as a teacher at a high school to stay at home with him. I soon found out that I could continue making money each month with different stay at home jobs. 1. Map Out Your Goals
One of the first things you want to do is map out your goals. Figure out the area of focus you want to focus on and do a lot of research.
For example, if I were interested in finding data entry work from home jobs I would research where to find those types of jobs online. I would also research the average salary of a Data Entry Clerk to get a better understanding of how much I could actually make each month.
2. Asset Your Area Of Focus
Think about all the skills and talents you have. Asset each skill and talent and decide which industry would fit you best. For example, if you are great at dancing and singing maybe becoming a singing coach or performance coach in your home might be a great stay-at-home job for you.
3. Review Your Availability
Another area you want to focus on is your availability. Since having children I have noticed that I have to set up a schedule that doesn’t keep me from them all day long. So, review your schedule and figure out which work hours will work best for you and your family.
For me, working in the morning hours work best because my husband is also at home in the morning and can take on the extra load while I work from home.
4. Decide On Children Activities or Care
If you will be home alone with your children while you work from home maybe consider hiring a babysitter or a nanny to help with your children. You can also consider finding daily activities for your children while you work from home.
