The best way to make money fast is by selling unwanted items that you may have in your house. You can sell these items online on places such as Mercari and Offerup.

Items that people often sell are:

17 Legit Easy Side Hustles To Make Extra Money

1. Pick up groceries

Another way to deliver food and groceries is by working with a company called Instacart. With Instacart, you go to your local grocery stores to pick up groceries for people in your town. Once you pick up the groceries, then all you have to do is deliver the groceries to the person.

To become a shopper with Instacart, you must have a car to drive the groceries to the person’s house.

If you don’t have a car, you can sign up to be a shopper and still get paid. As a shopper, you will prepare the order inside the store and have it ready for pickup. Check out Instacart by clicking here.

2. Start a niche blog

One of the best decisions I made was to start this blog. This blog has given me the chance to stay at home with my 3 boys and to be able to make money every single month.

There are many ways a person can make money blogging, such as affiliate marketing, working with an ad publishing company, working with brands on sponsored posts, and by selling digital products. The ways to make money from blogging are almost endless.

3. Sell old stuff

Another great side hustles to make money super-fast is by selling old or unwanted stuff around your house. Places such as Mercari and Poshmark make it super easy to upload items that you want to sell and make money. About 4 years ago, my husband and I teamed up and sold a ton of stuff around our house. We made $300 fast and were able to save money before I had my first son.

So, if you are looking to make money fast this holiday season, consider selling items that you don’t want anymore. Check out places such as Mercari, Offerup, Declutter, and Poshmark to sell your items.

4. House sit for others

Imagine this! Mr. Peebles goes away each winter to Belize for a few months, and he hires you to stay at his house to take care of it while he is gone. You might do things such as take care of his dog, water the plants and organize his mail. ⁣The biggest takeaway is that you get to stay in his house for free and also get paid while doing so!⁣

That’s exactly what a house sitter does. ⁣Housing sitting can give you the chance to meet new people, explore a totally new area and earn money while enjoying life. ⁣

⁣If you are interested in house sitting, check out some companies that hire house sitters:

  • House Sitter America
  • Care.com
  • Luxury House Sitting
  • Caretaker Gazette
  • Mind My House

5. Become a pet sitter

Get paid to play with dogs! If you love dogs or cats, becoming a pet sitter might be the perfect side hustle for you.

Places such as Rover hire individuals to dog walk and pet sit for both dogs and cats. For dog and cat lovers, this is a perfect way to make extra money every single day. You can also find house-sitting jobs on Rover as well. Check out Rover by clicking here.

6. Sell T-shirts

This is a side hustle that I recently just started doing myself. If you are looking to sell T-shirts I highly recommend Printify to sell your shirts and Canva to design them. Once you create the design on Canva, simply upload it on Printify and pick a print provider to get started.

Printify will do all the work for you, such as taking in your orders and getting your T-shirt out for delivery. You pay the base price for each T-shirt and then you keep the profit.

You can promote & sell your shirts on your website or on sites such as Etsy and Shopify and connect the store to Printify.

7. Complete surveys online

Another great way to make money during the holidays is by completing surveys online. Completing surveys online won’t make a person rich, but it can help a person buy gifts or other items during the holidays.

One of my favorite survey sites is Swagbucks. This year, I was able to add $300 from using Swagbucks to my Christmas fund. On Swagbucks, you not only complete surveys and make money, but you can also watch videos, play games, and much more. Check out Swagbucks by clicking here.

11. Scan your receipts

Did you know you can get paid by scanning your receipts? One of the quickest ways I make cash-back is by scanning my grocery store receipts onto apps such as Fetch Rewards and Ibotta.

With Fetch Rewards, you upload any receipt that you get from grocery shopping, and once uploaded, you will earn points. Once you hit a certain amount of points, such as 5,000 points ($5), you will be able to redeem those points for gift cards to places such as Amazon and Target. Check out Fetch Rewards by clicking here.

On the Ibotta app, you search through different items at your local grocery store and select items that you will purchase on your run to the store. After you complete your shopping, upload the receipt with the items you selected on the app before you went to the store. After you do that, you will receive cash back. Check out Ibotta by clicking here.

12. Complete odd jobs for cash

That’s right—you can complete odd jobs and make money at the same time. Some odd jobs that you can get paid are right on an app called TaskRabbit. TaskRabbit has a list of different jobs that a person can complete right in their town.

Some of the jobs are cleaning bathrooms, mounting TVs, moving boxes, planting flowers and so much more. To sign up to be a Tasker, simply select your area and choose the category that best fits your skills of work. After that, you will be prompted to create an account and be set to go.

16. Become a mystery shopper

Mystery shoppers get assigned to go to different stores to check out specific standards of the stores to make sure those standards are being met. A mystery shopper checks if a store has great customer service or if the cleanliness of the store is being met.
